What is the SAT?
The SAT is a standardized test used by colleges and universities to evaluate a student's readiness for undergraduate study. The current Digital SAT is shorter and adaptive, delivered on a laptop or tablet through the College Board's Bluebook app rather than on paper.
It's split into two sections: Reading and Writing, and Math, each broken into two timed modules. Your performance on the first module determines the difficulty of the second, which is why understanding pacing and question patterns matters as much as knowing the content.
A strong SAT score can strengthen a college application, unlock scholarship opportunities, and give you more flexibility in where you apply. That's what structured SAT prep is for: turning a broad, unfamiliar test into something you've already practiced.

6 quick SAT prep tips
A few habits that make the biggest difference in Digital SAT prep, based on how the test is structured.
Practice on the real interface
Use Bluebook-style practice so the on-screen tools and question format feel familiar on test day.
Review your wrong answers
Understanding why an answer was wrong teaches you more than any number of new questions.
Time each module separately
The adaptive format rewards steady pacing within each module, not just overall speed.
Read actively, not just quickly
Underline shifts in argument and tone. Most Reading questions test how well you tracked the writer's logic.
Build a short, consistent study routine
Regular 30 to 45 minute sessions beat occasional long cram sessions for retention.
Know the on-screen calculator
The built-in Desmos calculator can solve problems faster than by hand once you know its shortcuts.
